VR Equitypartner and AG Capital to acquire a majority stake in IDENTA.

VR Equitypartner and AG Capital, private equity firms, agreed to acquire a majority stake in IDENTA, a provider of chip card solutions in the areas of access control, public transport, automotive and hotels. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We were impressed by the strong management team at IDENTA with their high level of innovation and technology orientation. We see the best conditions here to develop the company together with management and co-investor into a leading international full-service provider. The development of new products and technologies relating to identification and security is also on our agenda,” Christian Futterlieb, VR Equitypartner Managing Director.
