Sehat Sutardja, Byung Joon Han and Weili Dai, the founders of Silicon Box, led a $200m Series B funding round in Silicon Box, a company that focuses on chiplet technology, which combines multiple smaller chips within a single package, with participation from BRV Capital, Event Horizon Capital, Grandfull Convergence Fund, Hillhouse Capital, Lam Capital, Maverick Capital, Prasedium Capita, Tata Electronics, TDK Ventures and UMC Capital. "As we bump up against size and cost constraints in front-end SoC design, chiplet architectures are emerging as an innovative solution given their higher manufacturing yields and functional reuse of IP, among other benefits.
