A2A to acquire selected Italian electricity distribution assets of Enel for €1.2bn.

A2A, an Italian utilities company, agreed to acquire selected Italian electricity distribution assets of Enel, an electricity and gas distributor, for €1.2bn. "The transaction, envisaged in the 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, is in line with the Group’s financial sustainability objective. In the three-year period, the Plan foresees approximately €12.2bn of investments directed to grids in Italy for the benefit of the 31m end users that e-distribuzione will continue to serve, in around 7.3k municipalities in the country, upon closing of the transaction," Enel.
