Copersucar to acquire a 50% stake in Newcom Comercializadora de Energia Elétrica from Comerc.

Copersucar, a sugar and ethanol company, agreed to acquire a 50% stake in Newcom Comercializadora de Energia Elétrica, a company with the primary purpose of efficiently operating activities related to the commercialization (purchase and sale) of electric energy and the provision of services inherent to the electric energy sector, from Comerc, an energy trading services provider. Financial terms were not disclosed.
