EBRD, Meridiam and HAU to invest in HAU Energy.

Synopsis

EBRD, an international financial institution, Meridiam, a global investor and asset manager, and HAU, an investment and development company, agreed to invest in HAU Energy, a funding vehicle incorporated in the Netherlands for the purpose of developing and operating renewable energy projects in Egypt. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are very happy with our partnership with the EBRD and Meridiam. Through our combined efforts we look forward to progressing Egypt’s ambition to expand our green energy footprint. Further, this collaboration should drive substantial foreign investment into Egypt, boosting economic resilience and fostering sustainable growth,” Amr Allam, Hassan Allam Co-CEO.
