Synopsis
Repsol, a Spanish multinational energy and petrochemical company, completed the acquisition of a 40% stake in Genia Bioenergy, an engineering company. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The entry of Repsol consolidates our evolution as a company that goes from engineering to consolidating as a producer and operator. From now on, we are not only going to develop plants, but to build and operate them in the long term. Therefore, the entry of this industrial partner allows us to guarantee ecosystems that will last over time to revalue waste. In this way, we avoid the expectation model of investment funds," Gabriel Butler, Genia Bioenergy CEO.
