Arkema to acquire flexible packaging laminating adhesives business from Dow for $150m.

Synopsis

Arkema, a multi-national manufacturer of specialty materials, agreed to acquire flexible packaging laminating adhesives business from Dow, a company that manufactures and supplies chemicals for liquid injection molding, architecture fabrication, leather, textiles, automobiles, rubber consumer goods, and food industries, for $150m. "In line with Dow's best-owner mindset, we are focused on proactively managing our asset portfolio to invest in businesses with competitive positions in attractive markets. Proceeds will help us advance our long-term Decarbonize & Grow and Transform the Waste strategies designed to capture more than $3bn in annual earnings growth by 2030," Jim Fitterling, Dow Chair and CEO.
