Warburg Pincus to acquire Shriram Housing Finance from Shriram Finance and Valiant Partners for INR46.3bn.

Warburg Pincus, a US-based private equity firm, agreed to acquire Shriram Housing Finance, a home loan provider, from Shriram Finance, an insurance commercial company, and Valiant Partners, an investment firm, for INR46.3bn. "Shriram Finance will continue to focus on growth led by the short to medium-tenor consumer finance business," Y.S. Chakravarti, Shriram Finance MD and CEO.
