Equinor Ventures and Shorooq Partners led a $37m Series A funding round in 44.01.

Equinor Ventures, an Equinor's corporate venture capital arm dedicated to investing in ambitious early-phase and growth companies, and Shorooq Partners, a venture capital investment firm, led a $37m Series A funding round in 44.01, a company that specializes in eliminating CO2 from the atmosphere by mineralizing it in peridotite, with participation from Air Liquide Venture Capital, Alumni Ventures, Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, Climate Investment, Innovation Development Oman, Planet A Ventures, Siemens Financial Services and Sumitomo Corporation. “We believe mineralisation can play a significant role in protecting and repairing our climate.
