Synopsis

CapitalG, a private equity firm under Alphabet, led a $320m Series D funding round in Magic, a startup that is developing an AI-powered software engineer, with participation from Eric Schmidt, Atlassian, Elad Gil, Jane Street, Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross and Sequoia. “We are excited to partner with Google and Nvidia to build our next-gen AI supercomputer on Google Cloud. Nvidia’s system will greatly improve inference and training efficiency for our models, and Google Cloud offers us the fastest timeline to scale, and a rich ecosystem of cloud services," Eric Steinberger, Magic Co-Founder and CEO.
