Dairy Fountain to acquire Hewitt’s Dairy from Gay Lea Foods.

Dairy Fountain, a specialty dairy processor, offered to acquire Hewitt’s Dairy, a dairy products producer, from Gay Lea Foods, a co-operative renowned for dairy and food products. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Selling Hewitt’s Dairy enables sharper focus on our co-operative’s business strategy, strengthens our already strong balance sheet, and creates opportunity for future investment in other areas of our business,” Suzanna Dalrymple, Gay Lea Foods President and CEO.
