Alpiq, a Swiss energy services provider, completed the acquisition of 100MW Marronniers BESS project from Harmony Energy, a developer of utility-scale battery energy storage projects. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We have big aims for France and this transaction puts the company in a strong position to deliver our ambition to develop, build, own and operate a large portfolio in France, including our flagship BESS in Nantes, which is currently under construction. The acquisition by Alpiq also demonstrates the growing interest in high-quality battery storage projects as a critical pillar in the energy transition,” Andy Symonds, Harmony Energy France CEO.
