Omya to acquire Distrupol from GPD Companies.

Omya, a producer of essential minerals and distributor of specialty materials, agreed to acquire Distrupol, a polymer supplier, from GPD Companies, a group of global value-added distributors. Financial terms were not disclosed. "GPD is pleased with the tremendous success Distrupol has achieved under our ownership. We believe that Omya offers a great home for Distrupol's long-term future and wish the team continued success," Kurt Schuering, GPD CEO.
