Newpal SGPS completed the acquisition of Prado from Atena Equity Partners.

Newpal SGPS, an industrial holding company, completed the acquisition of Prado, a manufacturer of cardstock, printing, and writing papers, from Atena Equity Partners, a venture capital firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Prado – Cartolinas da Lousã is a leader in its sector and internationally recognized, exporting its products to around 50 countries. The investment we made allowed us to restructure the group and grow the company, earning the trust of demanding customers and luxury brands worldwide with our heavyweight paper. The sale to Newpal materializes the value created in the company and offers the new Portuguese shareholder the opportunity to continue exploiting its competitive advantages," João Rodrigo Santos, Atena Equity Partners Founding Partner.
