MasOrange, Vodafone Spain and GIC to form a joint venture and create a FibreCo in Spain.

MasOrange, Spain’s largest telecom operator, Vodafone Spain, provider of telecommunications services, and GIC, a sovereign wealth fund, agreed to form a joint venture and create a FibreCo in Spain. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are very pleased to announce this agreement with Vodafone and GIC to establish the largest FibreCo in Spain. GIC was chosen following a competitive process involving nearly 20 interested investors. This venture will provide our customers with the best premium FTTH connectivity and assure future technology upgrades”, Meinrad Spenger, MasOrange CEO.
