ASMedia, a fabless semiconductor company specializing in high-speed transmission interface IC design, completed the acquisition of Techpoint, a semiconductor company developing proprietary high-definition video connectivity technology targeting high-definition video security systems, for $390m. “This acquisition marks the first step in ASMedia’s global expansion.
