St. Franziskus-Stiftung Münster completed the acquisition of a majority stake in VKKD from the Archdiocese of Cologne.

St. Franziskus-Stiftung Münster, one of the largest Catholic hospital groups in Germany, completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Verbund Katholischer Kliniken Düsseldorf, a Catholic hospital network, from the Archdiocese of Cologne, a religious organization with social and healthcare activities. Financial terms were not disclosed. “This shareholder transition is a strategic move from a position of strength – both partners are financially sound,” Ludger Hellenthal, Franziskus-Stiftung Münster Chairman.
