Maurel & Prom completed the acquisition of a 61% stake in Sinu-9 gas licence for $185m.

Maurel & Prom, an oil company specialising in the production of hydrocarbons, completed the acquisition of Sinu-9 gas licence, an onshore natural gas exploration and production licence, for $185m. "We are pleased to have reached this decisive stage with the receipt of the ANH approval. This milestone enables us to become the operator, to start the drilling programme in January 2026. We are excited to resume production operations in Colombia and we look forward to unlocking the full potential of this high-quality gas asset in support of Colombia’s energy security," Olivier de Langavant, M&P Chief Executive Officer.
