IonQ completed the acquisition of 56.9% stake in ID Quantique from SK Telecom for $228.4m.

IonQ, an American quantum computing hardware and software, completed the acquisition of 56.9% stake in ID Quantique, a provider of quantum key distribution (QKD) systems, from SK Telecom, a South Korean wireless telecommunications operator, for $228.4m. “The acquisition of IDQ expands upon IonQ’s significant advantage in the quantum networking market and positions us as the global powerhouse for secure compute and communications.
