Triton International completed the acquisition Global Container International from Wafra in a $1bn deal.

Triton International, a lessor of intermodal freight containers, completed the acquisition Global Container International, a marine container leasing company, from Wafra, an investment management firm, in a $1bn deal. "The GCI team has created an impressive business with a well-structured long-term lease portfolio. This acquisition is an excellent strategic fit for Triton that will allow us to lock in meaningful container fleet growth.
