Sartorius completed the acquisition of MatTek from BICO for $80m.

Sartorius, a life science group, completed the acquisition of MatTek, a developer and manufacturer of human cell-based microtissues and 3D models, from BICO, a bioconvergence company, for $80m. “MatTek’s solutions add to our Lab Products and Services division’s offering of cell analysis instruments, reagents and AI-supported data models. Our combined portfolio will be one of the most comprehensive solution offerings on the market, enabling researchers to speed up new therapy development and reduce animal testing,” Joachim Kreuzburg, Sartorius CEO.
