Blackstone-led investor consortium, including CPP Investments, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, PSP Investments and British Columbia Investment Management, agreed to acquire a 49.9% stake in the wireless network from Rogers Communications, a communications and entertainment company, for CAD7bn. “This strategic partnership demonstrates the confidence investors have in Rogers and in our world-class assets. With this significant investment, we are executing on our commitment to de-lever our balance sheet,” Tony Staffieri, Rogers President and CEO.
