SMS group to acquire Metso's Ferrous business.

SMS group, a global company providing technology and services in plant construction and mechanical engineering for the metals industry, agreed to acquire Metso's Ferrous business, a division specializing in technologies for sustainable iron ore processing. Financial terms were not disclosed. "SMS group is a great home for the ferrous technologies. It can offer both focus and scale for these businesses and hence capitalize on their full potential together with the strong team that is committed to further develop these technologies for the benefit of the customers," Piia Karhu, Metso President of the Minerals.
