Teknor Apex completed the acquisition of Danimer Scientific.

Teknor Apex, a plastic material science solutions, completed the acquisition of Danimer Scientific, a bioplastics company focused on the development and production of biodegradable materials. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Danimer's patented fermentation-based biopolymer manufacturing process enhances our product portfolio, allowing us to leverage opportunities in new markets with new end-market applications. The company's expertise in biopolymer resins, such as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) and polylactic acid (PLA), as well as its custom formulation know-how, makes it a valuable partner in our mission to advance environmentally responsible alternatives to conventional polymers," Don Wiseman, Teknor Apex CEO.
