Gordon Brothers completed the acquisition of Poundland from Pepco.

Gordon Brothers, a retail focused investment firm, completed the acquisition of Poundland, a variety store chain, from Pepco, a discount store chain. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are delighted to provide Barry Williams and his management team with the financing to support the substantial turnaround of this iconic retailer. We believe Poundland is an essential retailer serving U.K. consumers and plays an important role on the High Street,” Mark Newton-Jones, Gordon Brothers Head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
