Baker Hughes to acquire Continental Disc Corporation from Tinicum for $540m.

Synopsis

Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, agreed to acquire Continental Disc Corporation, provider of safety-critical pressure management solutions, from Tinicum, a private equity firm, for $540m. “We are excited to enhance our industrial portfolio and expand our addressable market with the addition of CDC’s well-established critical pressure management solutions. Together with the recently announced SPC and PSI transactions, this acquisition sets the blueprint for our portfolio optimization strategy – focused on driving higher returns and creating long-term value for our shareholders,” Lorenzo Simonelli, Baker Hughes Chairman and CEO.
