Andel to acquire NKE-Elnet from NK-Forsyning.

Andel, an energy and fiber network group, agreed to acquire NKE-Elnet, a local power grid operator for Næstved, from NK-Forsyning, a municipally owned utility company. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The electrification of our everyday lives is gaining momentum with more electric cars, more heat pumps and more green energy sources such as solar and wind with fluctuating production. This places new demands on the overall electricity grid, which is therefore being expanded and upgraded so that it can also deliver a stable and reliable electricity supply in the future. We can best achieve this by combining the Eastern Danish electricity grids into a large unit with the necessary financial muscle," Jesper Hjulmand, Andel CEO.
