Natixis Investment Managers-backed Gateway Investment Advisers, a pioneer in options-based investment strategies, agreed to acquire Belmont Capital Group, an investment adviser. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition reinforces Gateway’s commitment to SMAs, one of the fastest-growing product segments in the US financial services industry. The acquisition positions Gateway to more fully participate in the rapidly growing SMA market, driven by increasing demand for personalized investment portfolios that address unique tax and risk management objectives.
