Cornell Capital-backed Advancing Eyecare completed the acquisition of Birmingham Optical Group.

Cornell Capital-backed Advancing Eyecare, a North American provider of ophthalmic instruments, completed the acquisition of Birmingham Optical Group, a provider of specialist optical instruments, machines and consumables for opticians, hospitals, eye care clinics and optical laboratories. Financial terms were not disclosed. This transaction significantly expands AEC's global footprint and immediately establishes a strong presence in the UK, while enabling Birmingham Optical and its broad customer base to benefit from AEC's deeply rooted infrastructure, proprietary product lines and global manufacturer relationships.
