INVL-backed Galinta to acquire Cenos from Gemini Grupe.

Synopsis

INVL-backed Galinta, a producer of buckwheat groats and a major trader of flakes, rice and other groats, agreed to acquire Cenos, a Polish food manufacturer and distributor of salt, rice and other groats, from Gemini Grupe, a Lithuanian venture capital firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. “The Cenos deal is strategically important for Galinta to be able to grow more rapidly on the Polish market. The transaction will strengthen the company’s current standing in the rice and other groats segment by adding a well-known brand to its portfolio and a new category –table salt– to its product range," Tadas Petkevičius, INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund Investment Manager.
