Arclin to acquire Aramids business of DuPont for $1.8bn.

Arclin, a materials science company and manufacturer of polymer technologies, engineered products and specialized materials, agreed to acquire Aramids business of DuPont, a provider of construction materials, fabrics, packaging materials, and solutions, for $1.8bn. "The Kevlar® and Nomex® brands have long been known for their innovation and protective qualities. With this planned acquisition, Arclin will unlock the potential for these brands, ushering in a new era of advanced materials that can make homes, workplaces and communities stronger, safer and more resilient," Bradley Bolduc, Arclin President and CEO.
