Spoon Brands, a basketball company specialized in food retail, completed the acquisition of a 45% of Rossopomodoro, an Italian pizza restaurant chain, from OpCapita, a private equity firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The entry into the pizza world with Rossopomodoro is a fundamental step for Spoon Brands. We add a strategic piece to our commitment to investing and supporting historical food retail brands, and we do it with the most recognized and loved brand for Neapolitan pizza, both in Italy and abroad. Our proven ability to invest in value brands, combined with the strong positioning of Rossopomodoro, creates a winning synergy.
