JSW Energy to acquire the Tidong hydropower project business from Statkraft.

JSW Energy, a private sector power producer in India across sectors including steel, energy, infrastructure, cement, and sports, agreed to acquire the Tidong hydropower project business from Statkraft, a global company specializing in renewable energy solutions, including hydropower, wind power, solar power, and gas-fired power supplies. Financial terms are not disclosed. “JSW Energy is one of India’s largest independent power producers with experience in hydropower development and operations. We are confident that they will continue to develop and operate the Tidong hydropower plant with competence and commitment, contributing to India’s green energy transition.
