SABESP to acquire a 66.8% stake in Empresa Metropolitana De Águas E Energia from Eletrobras for BRL476.5m.

SABESP, a water and waste management company, agreed to acquire a 66.8% stake in Empresa Metropolitana De Águas E Energia, a metropolitan water and energy company from Eletrobras, an electricity company, for BRL476.5m. “By combining water security with energy potential, this acquisition enhances operational synergies and strengthens the company’s capacity to face climate challenges and rising demand for essential services,” Daniel Szlak, SABESP Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer.
