CSN Steel, completed the acquisition of Galvacolor from CL Grupo Industrial for $55m.

CSN, an industrial conglomerate and steelmaker, completed the acquisition of Galvacolor, a specialist producer of flat steel coils from CL Grupo Industrial, the industrial arm of the Cristian Lay group for $55m. "With this acquisition [in Europe], we take one more step towards the globalization of our activities, allowing us to get closer to our European customers. It is within our core strategy of acquiring or establishing service centers to better serve our international markets," Benjamin Steinbruch, CSN Chairman & CEO.
