Astera Labs to acquire aiXscale Photonics.

Astera Labs, a provider of semiconductor-based connectivity solutions for rack-scale AI infrastructure, agreed to acquire aiXscale Photonics, a supplier of proprietary ultra-high precision optical glass interposer solutions for reliable, low loss and cost effective assembly of transceiver optical subassemblies and co-packaged optics. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The transition to AI Infrastructure 2.0 demands purpose-built optical solutions that can handle the complexity and capacity needs of future scale-up networks.
