OpenAI Startup Fund, a venture investment vehicle supporting AI-driven startups, led a $30m Seed round in Valthos, a biotechnology startup developing AI-driven biodefense systems, with participation from Lux Capital and Founders Fund. "The issue at the core of biodefense is asymmetry. It's easier to make a pathogen than a cure. We're building tools to help experts at the frontlines of biodefense move as fast as the threats they face," Kathleen McMahon, Valthos co-founder.
