Kyocera, a Japanese multinational ceramics and electronics manufacturer headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, a Japanese company specializing in the manufacture and sales of electrical connectors such as high speed LVDS, HDMI, PCI express, high density, micro coaxial, automotive, and board to board connectors, from NEC, an information technology and electronics company that provides a wide range of IT and network solutions globally, for JPY80.7bn. KYOCERA is convinced that The Alliance with JAE, a top-10 global connector manufacturer, will create synergies between the two companies and enable the growth of a globally competitive connector business.
