Synopsis

A.P. Moller-Maersk-backed APM Terminals, a global terminal company, completed the acquisition of a 39% stake in Fredericia container terminal of Fredericia Shipping, a family-owned logistics, shipping, and terminal services provider. Financial terms were not disclosed. "APM Terminals can support Fredericia Container Terminal A/S in the operation and development of an independent terminal with our international experience in areas such as operational excellence and safety. Through this new collaboration at Fredericia Harbour, we can facilitate the growth we expect in Western Denmark, and together we will explore how and which investments can further optimise the container terminal,” Lars Vang, APM Terminals Head of Joint Ventures and Strategic Partnerships.
