Arcius to acquire Harmattan offshore gas field from BP and Shell.

Arcius, a joint venture between BP and XRG formed to develop natural gas assets in Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean, agreed to acquire the Harmattan offshore gas field from BP and Shell, global integrated oil, gas, and petrochemical companies. Financial terms are not disclosed. “This acquisition is a key milestone for Arcius, reinforcing our partnership with the Egyptian Government, through the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, and our commitment to advancing regional energy security,” Naser Al Yafei, Arcius CEO.
