Synopsis
Redpoint Ventures, a venture capital investor, Kleiner Perkins, a technology backer, and Audacious Ventures, an early‑stage supporter, led a $41m combined Seed and Series A funding round in Maxima, an accounting automation company, with participation from Andres Botero, Eric Borrmann, Kiran Choudary, David Eckstein, and Joe Montana. "As businesses generate more financial data across more systems, the surface area for errors and delays has exploded. There is a need for AI that can autonomously prepare, reconcile, and validate financials at scale, and we believe Maxima can set a new standard for accuracy and auditability in the AI era," Aditya Naganath, Kleiner Perkins Principal.
