Posco completed the acquisition of a majority stake In Sampoerna Agro from Twinwood Family Holdings for KRW1.3bn.

Posco, a company specializing in steel, energy, infrastructure, and global trading of various goods like auto parts, chemicals, and food, completed the acquisition of a majority stake In Sampoerna Agro, a publicly listed palm plantation operator, from Twinwood Family, which serves as the controlling shareholder Sampoerna Agro, for KRW1.3tn. Through this acquisition, Posco has added 128k hectares of plantations, which is more than double the size of Seoul, and now possesses a total global farming base of 150k hectares, including its existing plantations in Papua, Indonesia.
