Microsize and Schedio Group to acquire Micro-Macinazione from Lonza Group.

Microsize, a contract development and manufacturing organization focused exclusively on particle size reduction and control technologies, and Schedio Group, a Swiss-based group of companies specializing in isolators, spray drying, micronization equipment and services, agreed to acquire Micro-Macinazione, a Swiss company specializing in micronization services for the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries, from Lonza Group, a company which produces organic fine chemicals, biocides, active ingredients and biotechnology products. Financial terms were not disclosed. The partnership aims to establish an integrated European-American network for advanced particle engineering, combining Microsize’s CDMO expertise with Schedio’s process equipment and containment technologies.
