Itau Unibanco to acquire the remaining stake of FIC from Assai, Grupo Casas Bahia and GPA.

Itau Unibanco, a universal bank with a range of services and products serving the most varied client profile, agreed to acquire the remaining stake of FIC, a Brazilian finance company specializing in consumer credit, financing and investment services, from Assai, a Brazilian cash-and-carry wholesale and retail company, Grupo Casas Bahia, a Brazilian retail company that sells electronics, home appliances, furniture and other consumer goods, and GPA, a retail and grocery-store chain, operating supermarkets, hypermarkets, proximity stores and e-commerce. Financial terms were not disclosed.
