OCI Global to merge with Orascom Construction in a $1.35bn deal.

OCI Global, a global investment platform, agreed to merge with Orascom Construction, a global engineering and construction contractor, in a $1.35bn deal. Orascom Construction shareholders will own 53% of the combined entity, while OCI shareholders will hold the remaining 47%. “This proposed combination marks a new chapter for OCI and Orascom Construction, creating an integrated infrastructure and investment platform with strong capabilities and enhanced growth potential," Nassef Sawiris, OCI Global Executive Chairman.
