Trench, a provider of high-voltage power transmission components and systems, agreed to acquire RPC composite insulator production assets from Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, a power engineering company. Financial terms were not disclosed. “This agreement marks a significant milestone for our industry. We are combining two areas of excellence to better meet the rapidly growing global demand for composite insulators. In recent years, our industry has faced capacity constraints. By acquiring RPC’s IP, engineering and production assets, we are strengthening our vertical integration while continuing to pursue a balanced ‘make and buy’ strategy.
