Axpo to acquire the Elektrociepłowni Nowa Sarzyna of Polenergia for $144.5m.

Axpo, an electricity producer and distributor, and an international energy trading operator, agreed to acquire the Elektrociepłowni Nowa Sarzyna of Polenergia, a renewable energy company, for $144.5m. ''Today's decision is a key step in the consistently implemented process of reviewing strategic options, allowing Polenergia to focus on its core business and further strengthen its financial position in light of its ambitious plans for onshore and offshore wind energy," Adam Purwin, Polenergia President of the Management Board.
