Carnival Group International, China’s only publicly-listed developer of large-scale integrated tourism, hospitality and retail projects that combine theme parks, hotels, outlet shopping for international premium brands, dining, conference and exhibition centres, leisure, entertainment and recreational facilities, has completed its acquisition of a restaurant chain under the reputable brand of Golden Jaguar, one of China's leading buffet- and banquet-style restaurant chains, to tap the food and beverages middle-class market in China and complement its theme based consumption offerings for $33.9m. "The reputable brand and wide network of Golden Jaguar further complements the opening of the Group’s flagship project, Rio Carnival (Qingdao), this year.
