Synopsis

Comcast NBCUniversal has agreed to acquire 49% of Universal Studios Japan from Goldman Sachs, former USJ Chief Executive Officer Glenn Gumpel, MBK Partners, Asian private-equity firm and Owl Creek Asset Management, US hedge fund for ¥254.8bn ($2.3 bn). “Universal Studios Japan is an amazing and incredibly successful theme park. This acquisition will bring an even stronger future for the theme park, its guests and its team members.
