Waterland Private Equity completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in Nuts Groep, a supplier of electricity and gas to consumers. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We expect that the market for energy supply in the Benelux will consolidate in the coming years. That means an opportunity for the Nuts Group to continue to grow and to use our platform for energy purchasing and invoicing more broadly. The involvement of Waterland gives us the strength to realize further growth both organically and through acquisitions,” Sjef Peeraer, Nuts Groep Director and Founder.
